The SP's branches

The SP's branches are the party's eyes and ears, its arms and legs. More than a hundred branches throughout the country give shape to the party's ideas and actions. Every SP member is included in one of the local branches and can participate in meetings, training sessions, courses and a whole range of activities.

A branch consists of at least fifty members and must as such be admitted by virtue of a decision by the party council. The branch is in charge of organizing the SP's local activities and carries out the decisions of the party council and the party executive. The branch is also in charge of the delegation of the branch to the regional meeting, the party council and congress.

SP members under 28 can participate in ROOD, the Party’s youth organisation.
